Hale moved to Auckland from the land of summer sun, rotaries, air bagged utes and underaged drinking or as normal people call it The Bay of Plenty.
With his athletic roots firmly grounded in the art of basketball primarily of the And One Street Team, 'switching it up on n*****s' style, his transformation into cycling came some what unexpectedly easily.
Groomed from a young age by the (well respected) dinosaurs of New Zealand fixed gear society; Steady Rollin' he flourished into quite the talented rider, but not till The CGK formed did he come to his full potential of free style fixed and drinking chilled red wine from a box while shooting b-hop sliders in the middle of Western Springs Road.
Hale runs a local street wear store called Qubic and has recently become a father, he, his partner Liz and there beloved daughter Mali reside in the western suburbs of Auckland.
